CONSTRUCTION CREWS PREPARE TO HOIST NEW FOOTBALL/SOCCER STADIUM'S FIRST ROOF TRUSS

What:
Tomorrow, crews building Washington's new Football/Soccer Stadium will rig the first giant metal roof truss section for hoisting and installation atop the stadium's southeast concrete stair tower. The massive 128,000-pound metal truss section, the first of many to be installed, will be lifted into place very early Saturday morning.
Who:
Ray Colliver, project manager for First & Goal Inc., will lead a site hard hat tour, deliver a construction update, and provide details about Saturday's truss installation.
When:
Friday, July 21 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Where:
Interested media should meet at the North Lot jobsite security gate. (Formally the North Lot of the Kingdome) no later than 9 a.m.

The Washington State Football/Soccer Stadium, scheduled for completion in July 2002, will be a world-class, premier sporting facility and the new home of the Seattle Seahawks.
All attendees must wear long pants and sturdy, hard-soled shoes. Hard hats and safety glasses will be provided.
