New Stadium Rolls Out Playing Field
FieldTurf Installation Marks an NFL First
Seattle's new
football/soccer stadium will make history tomorrow as the first NFL football
stadium to install the revolutionary new FieldTurf™ playing surface.
Media are invited to view the installation first-hand at the stadium, where
a stadium project official will explain the installation process. Media are
also encouraged to shoot the systematic "rolling out" of the green field surface
via helicopter, or from one of the many vantage points overlooking the facility,
over the course of the next several days.
Scheduled for completion in
July 2002, the new Washington State Football/Soccer Stadium will be a world-class
